Iris,
Mal vivía en las calles desde que nació.
Pasando hambre, sed y sobre todo sufriendo el desprecio de la gente.
Un día un joven, encontró a Iris atropellada, tirada en la carretera sin poder moverse. Iris, tenía la cadera rota.
Despues de mucho reposo, tratamiento y rehabilitación, la pequeña Iris esta genial!
Sus fracturas cicatrizarón y curaron muy bien. Ella puede andar, correr y saltar sin problema alguno.
Ella llegó muy asustada y desconfiada al refugio. Pero gracias a los esfuerzos, cariño, amor y paciencia de todas las voluntarias, hoy Iris es una gata completamente diferente. Le encanta jugar, tomar el sol, estar abrazada entre tus brazos, se vuelve loca con las caricias. En cuanto la acaricias se derrita en tus brazos. Comienza a ronronear y sólo quiere que le acaricies su barriga. Es una gata muy especial :)
Se lleva genial con otros gatos. Le gusta dormir con ellos, jugar y que la laven.
Este invierno pasado, a nuestra pequeña Iris le costaba mucho respirar, incluso llegando a ponerse de color morado debido a la falta de oxígeno.
Ella fue diagnosticada: Bronquitis alérgica felina, comunmente conocido como Asma.
Es una enfermedad respiratoria que se manifiesta con tos y episodios de disnea (dificultad respiratoria). Con episodios intermitentes de más o menos intensidad y de duración variable.
Los meses de invierno, debido al frío y la húmedad y la primavera, con el polen, flores... viviendo en el refugio que nos encontramos situados en el bosque rodeados de árboles y plantas. La salud de Iris se vio gravemente en peligro.
Decidimos habilitar una zona especial para ella: Mosquiteras en ventanas y puertas, camas especiales hipoalergénicas, arena aglomerante que no levanta polvo, pintamos con pintura especial su patio para evitar el "Moho"(hongos), comida de alta calidad... todo lo necesario para que nuestra pequeña Iris se encontrara sana y salva en el refugio.
Su tratamiento ha sido con corticoides, inhaladores cada 12 horas, broncodilatadores y ocasionalmente con antibiótico.
El tratamiento y su duración dependerá del estado del animal.
Actualmente no toma ningun tipo de medicación.
De nuevo regresa el duro invierno en el refugio y tenemos miedo por la salud de Iris.
A pesar de todo, ella es una gata feliz, agradecida, noble, muy buena y cariñosa.
Sabemos que su caso es diferente y muy especial , pero tenemos mucha fé en que encontraremos a su ángel.

Iris hatte,seit sie geboren wurde, ein schlechtes Leben auf den Straßen. Sie hatte Hunger und Durst und mußte die Verachtung der Menschen erleiden.
Ein Junge fand Iris angefahren auf der Straße. Sie konnte sich nicht bewegen.
Wie man auf dem Röntgenbild sehen kann hat Iris eine gebrochene Hüfte und eine ausgerenkte Pfote.
Da Iris noch wächst, heilt ihre Hüftfraktur mit viel Ruhe ohne die Notwendigkeit einer Operation komplett von selbst aus. Von ihrer Pfote können wir noch nicht das Gleiche sagen. Bei der nächsten Untersuchung beim Tierarzt werden wir sehen ob es mit Ruhe und Medikamenten verheilt ist, oder ob wir sie doch operieren lassen müssen.
Wie man sieht hat die kleine Iris schon schlimme Dinge erlebt, obwohl sie noch so jung ist. Sie kam sehr verängstigt bei uns an, aber mit viel Liebe und Geduld der Volontäre hat Iris große Fortschritte gemacht. Jeden Tag ist sie entspannter und verliert die Angst mit der sie hier angekommen ist.
